Mentor-in-a-Cloud

The SRI Mentorship Program, or Mentor-in-a-Cloud, represents a bridge between senior and junior SRI members and/or researchers. The Mentor-Mentee relationship is designed to foster maximum productivity and commitment to the field of reproductive sciences through encouraging strong collegial relationships, training, support and recognition of accomplishments. Whether you are looking for a Mentor, Sponsor, or a Coach, SRI can help!

During the 2018 meeting in San Diego and the 2019 meeting in Paris, SRI held a speed dating event in which each mentor had the opportunity to network with Mentees in a speed dating-type format (~ 10-minute conversations). Mentees were required to bring abbreviated copies of their CV for review. Both Mentees and Mentors were asked at the end of the event to rank their top choices.

WHO CAN BE A MENTEE?

Mentees obtain advice, feedback, and an expanded base of skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities.

An SRI Mentee is an early stage investigator who is transitioning from their last formal training (e.g. post-doctoral or clinical fellowship, or degree) to their first full-time faculty or equivalent position or is within five years of this point. Mentees must also be In Training Members of SRI.

WHO CAN BE A MENTOR?

Mentors gain personal satisfaction, growth within the field and Society, and networking opportunities. SRI welcomes any current, Regular SRI member that has been a member for a minimum of 3 years, to volunteer to become a Mentor.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING INVOLVED?

At the beginning of each year, SRI will begin seeking Mentees who are searching for an SRI Mentor, to participate in the in-person Mentor in a Cloud event during the SRI Annual Meeting! For those who are interested in becoming a Mentee, complete the Mentee Introductory Questionnaire to determine how we can best find a mentor match!
