365 (Communications) Committee

annual meetings

Purpose

The purpose of the 365 committee is to expand the online presence of SRI by developing social media content, strategies and promote other related activities of the Society. The 365 committee assists in streamlining and synchronizing the communications published by SRI, revolving around the idea of strengthening the organization in the way that the Society communicates (both internally and externally). Social media, email blasts, website design and the SRI 1st Alert newsletter will be overseen by the committee.

The benefit of having a communications-related committee is to generate ‘buzz’ around the Society and its endeavors, while also creating a space for people to share their own science and research among an online community. The 365 committee, as the name implies, provides year-round content around the Annual Meeting, important deadlines, membership benefits and other specific events/days of recognition in a given month. Additionally, the committee will have input in the SRI website’s design and function.
